Every patient uses medical cannabis differently. For me, personally, I am not at the consumption caliber of most of my peers. A one-hit-wonder. A lightweight. A cheap date. What have you. I ride a thin line between having an effective cannabis experience... and feeling like I might die.
It hasn't always been that way, but that is how it affects my body now.
Indicas knock me straight out.
Sativas make me feel like I might have a heart attack.
Hybrids make me sleepy and anti-social.
What's a card-carrying cannabis lover to do?
Despite the aforementioned symptoms I DO still enjoy cannabis, but for me it's not about getting super high. It's about relief.
I use cannabis namely for depression, anxiety, and pain management.
However, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find medicine that hits that sweet-spot for me.
I take CBD through the day, which helps a great deal, but in the evenings when I need a little oomph, I am left wanting. What I have found is that flower and vapes that are high in CBD and low in THC work best for me. Most dispensaries are stocked to the teeth with high THC strains. You would be hard-pressed to find anything under 15% THC. What I am looking for is anything ranging 2:1, 1:1, 1:2 (CBD:THC). My holey grail would be a 2:1 sativa leaning flower.
I visited 5 dispensaries in the Tulsa area and the best I could find was mixing my own concoction of CBD flower (which you don't need a card to purchase) and THC Flower that I got from Hemprx.
This worked well enough.
When using the CBD flower alone, it feels slightly uplifting and aides in pain relief.
In conjunction with the Gorilla Puff, coming in at about 15% THC, the mixture relaxes my body and mind. That's what I'm looking for. I don't want to go to space.
I am aware that most other cannabis users have much higher tolerances and different medical needs. Which is what you see in most dispensaries. However, I would like to see more flower options out there for the lightweight cannabis patient like me.
